When classes transitioned to an online environment in spring, UCM educators were prepared. The College of Education provided guidance for Missouri's K–12 educators and partnered with the PBS station on campus to serve those without access to remote learning. Alumnus Redirects Airline Catering for Coronavirus Relief  

Project Isaiah boxGreg Hughes, '97, son of UCM Athletic Director Jerry Hughes, found himself in a unique position this spring when the coronavirus started reducing flights as a result of the pandemic. As vice president of business development and operations at Gate Gourmet Inc., he had the resources and infrastructure to fight the food shortage in some of the country's hardest-hit cities. Gate Gourmet partnered with Project Isaiah to get boxed meals that were formerly feeding airline passengers to people in need. Read More


 
Out of the Ballpark: Alumnus Connects Dodgers Players, Fans From a Distance

Greg TaylorAs executive producer of LAD Productions, Greg Taylor, '85, helped the Dodgers through a season like no other, which culminated in a World Series Championship. When fans were out of the ballpark, his team created a familiar ambiance by piecing together recordings from past games, fan-favorite songs and live organ music that still played in the empty stadium.
