After serving the university for nearly 25 years, including as dean of the Harmon College, Roger J. Best, Ph.D., was inaugurated as UCM's 16th president. UCM Track Coaches Celebrate Decades of Success, Friendship

Coaches Kip Janvrin and Kirk Pedersen were inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame this year for their longtime leadership of the Mules and Jennies track and field teams. Their friendship has even deeper roots, growing up in Iowa, serving as best men at each other's weddings and even raising children born on the same day.

College of Education Kicks of Centennial Celebration

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the naming of Central Missouri State Teachers College, and the university invites alumni and friends to a "My Central, My Legacy" celebration. College of Education Dean Robert Lee presents a history of excellence in educator preparation and a vision for the future.

Holistic Approach Meets Each Student's Needs From Start to Finish

The University of Central Missouri's has been ranked as the state leader in degree completion by the Missouri Department of Higher Education. With a focus on supporting first-year students, Shaunte Montgomery is allocating grant funds to maintain this status and ensure even more students graduate.
