How Your support helps

Gifts touch every aspect of the university. They help students through scholarships, fund research projects and innovative learning environments and retool equipment. When you make a gift, you have the ability to put it to work in areas that matter most to you.

You can designate your gift to benefit your college or your area of study. It can help fund a particular scholarship, program, club or athletic team. You determine how your money will be used.

Many donors prefer not to specify how to use their gift and trust the university to apply it to the area of greatest need. These unrestricted gifts officially become part of the Central Annual Fund.

Designations previously or frequently indicated by donors include:

• Central Annual Fund
• James C. Kirkpatrick Library
• Intercollegiate Athletics (or a specific team)
• International Programs
• Lab equipment funds
• Specific UCM college
• Specific UCM school
• Specific fraternity or sorority
• Specific named scholarship
