Get into the holiday spirit!

Jingle on the Quad Lighting Ceremony

4:30–6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022

Help us kick off the season with this new UCM tradition! The lighting ceremony will begin with a presentation on the steps of the Administration Building, where results from Giving Tuesday will be announced, and one lucky winner will flip the switch to light up all five of the UCM Quad buildings for the holiday season!

The event will also feature free cookies and a hot chocolate bar, along with appearances by our live mule mascots!

Make a difference on giving tuesday

At UCM, Giving Tuesday is about joining together to meet the greatest needs of our students and our university through gifts to the Central Annual Fund. The goal this year is 300 donors, and with your help, we're confident we can reach it!

Give $50 or more, and we will send you a limited-edition UCM stocking cap, just in time for winter.* The Paramitas Foundation and proud graduate Phyllis Huang, ’87, will match all gifts $2 to $1, up to $20,000 — tripling your gift!

When you make a gift of any size online, you are automatically entered to win one of two exciting contests.** One winner will be chosen at random to conduct the UCM Band’s performance of “Sleigh Ride” on Wednesday, Nov. 30, the first night of the First Lady’s Concert Series. Another winner will be chosen at random to flip the switch and turn on UCM's outdoor lights Dec. 1.

Make your Giving Tuesday donation and follow our progress throughout the day at ucmgives.org. Thank you for your support!

*Your gift will be reduced by the fair market value of $15.

**You do not have to give to win. To enter for the contest without making a gift, email giving@ucmo.edu with your name and email.
