Celebrating 60 Years of Nursing at UCM

• Collaborative Learning

• Innovative Teaching

• Leaving a Legacy

The University of Central Missouri's School of Nursing invites alumni and friends to a 60th anniversary celebration during Homecoming weekend.

October 11–12, 2019

Nursing alumni are invited to connect with classmates, share stories from college and careers, and see how far innovative teaching technology has come at The Missouri Innovation Campus (The MIC) in Lee's Summit on Friday night. The group will reconvene in Warrensburg for the Homecoming parade and an open house at Dockery on Saturday morning. Please see details below and RSVP by Sept. 23, 2019.

Order your special 60th anniversary nursing shirt today!

(Shirts can be picked up Friday at The MIC or Saturday at Dockery or mailed for an additional charge.)

Friday, October 11: 5–7:30 p.m.

Open House and Reception at The MIC
1101 NW Innovation Parkway, Lee's Summit, MO

Nursing faculty will give tours of the innovative nursing classrooms and simulation technology that enriches current students' educational experience while holding fast to the values of critical thinking, caring and collaboration.

Hors d'oeuvres will be served, memorabilia from each decade of UCM nursing innovation will be on display, and there will be a short presentation at 6 p.m. Included in your $25 registration fee is a small gift bag, and we will raffle off a School of Nursing T-shirt quilt to raise money for a UCM nursing scholarship. Donations from a silent auction at the dinner will benefit nursing students' charity of choice and the School of Nursing program fund.

Help Nursing Students Succeed!

By participating in this 60th anniversary event you are contributing to the future of the University of Central Missouri's School of Nursing. Since its inception in 1959, nursing education at UCM has evolved to meet the changes and challenges of the field.

Degrees now include the traditional Bachelor of Science, RSN to BSN, and a master's as a nurse educator or family nurse practitioner. Each of these degree options is a collaborative experience where nurses graduate with knowledge, compassion and a holistic approach to care.

Even if you can't make it to the event, please consider sponsoring a student's ticket or even sponsoring the celebration! Donations of any size can always be made to the School of Nursing's program fund — and are always appreciated. Thank you for your support!
