The Sigma Tau Gamma legacy dates back to June 28, 1920. Its founders were WWI veterans who, in transitioning from military to civilian life, wanted to continue the sense of brotherhood they had created in the trenches.
Central Missouri State Teachers College offered the promise of a better life and pursuit of the American dream. The Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity provided brotherhood in a higher education setting and has continued to create lasting bonds ever since.
