Save the Date Homecoming Header

No matter how long it’s been since you were on campus, coming back feels like you never left! With two class reunions this year, in addition to an all-class reception and Party in the Park, you’ll feel right at home.

Preregistration is required for certain events during Homecoming weekend, including:

MuleNation Open House — Join us in the new Union Auditorium for a MuleNation Open House on Friday. Enjoy refreshments, classroom visits, campus tours, UCM trivia and more throughout the day. All alumni will be recognized at the All-Class MuleNation Alumni Reception, taking place in the auditorium from 1 to 3 p.m. Members of the reunion classes of 1972 and 1997 will receive special recognition and a gift at the reception.
Distinguished Alumni Dinner — Help us honor our 2022 Distinguished Alumni Award recipients at this annual social and dinner in the union ballrooms Friday night.
Party in the Park — Enjoy food and live music in Selmo Park, a designated open-container area, before and after the parade! The party is free and open to the public, but reserving a table gets you premier seating and UCM swag! Plus, you're just a few steps away from Walton Stadium for the Homecoming football game.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.  MULENATION OPEN HOUSE AND PARTY IN THE PARK ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC; IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ATTENDING THESE EVENTS, PLEASE CALL 660-543-8000 OR CHECK IN AT THE TIME OF THE EVENT.

Mule in Homecoming Parade

The Homecoming parade is our largest alumni tradition of the year! Whether you knew it as Central Missouri State College, Central Missouri State University or the University of Central Missouri, the Warrensburg campus is a place you can always call home. The parade route begins at the intersection of Clark and Holden streets, then runs north through campus on Holden and downtown to Gay Street, where it extends east to College Avenue and north to South Street.

We look forward to seeing you at

Homecoming History

homecoming cheerleaders

Central Missouri’s first annual Homecoming was a silver jubilee held Nov. 5, 1935, in honor of Eldo Hendricks. It featured a convocation during which 21 alumni reminisced about Hendricks’ 25 years of service, plus a halftime presentation where the president and his wife received 25 silver dollars.

The Homecoming parade is truly one of UCM's most popular traditions. It’s always a colorful feast for the eyes, bringing the campus and local communities together to enjoy the Marching Mules, floats, equestrian units, dignitaries, area organizations, businesses, regional high school bands and UCM's very own mule mascot.
