homecoming parade
9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023

The Homecoming parade is our largest alumni tradition of the year! Whether you knew it as Central Missouri State College, Central Missouri State University or the University of Central Missouri, the Warrensburg campus is a place you can always call home. The parade route begins at the intersection of Clark and Holden streets, then runs north through campus on Holden and downtown to Gay Street, where it extends east to College Avenue and north to South Street.
We look forward to seeing you at

Homecoming History

Central Missouri’s first annual Homecoming was a silver jubilee held Nov. 5, 1935, in honor of Eldo Hendricks. It featured a convocation during which 21 alumni reminisced about Hendricks’ 25 years of service, plus a halftime presentation where the president and his wife received 25 silver dollars.
The Homecoming parade is truly one of UCM's most popular traditions. It’s always a colorful feast for the eyes, bringing the campus and local communities together to enjoy the Marching Mules, floats, equestrian units, dignitaries, area organizations, businesses, regional high school bands and UCM's very own mule mascot.
