Opportunity Grant Program

 

In keeping with our mission to cultivate, manage, and distribute resources in support of the University of Central Missouri, the UCM Alumni Foundation launched the Opportunity Grant program in 2013. This program was designed to support innovative, student-centered initiatives brought forward by UCM faculty and staff to benefit the university’s learning environment and students’ academic experience.

Through a competitive process, the UCM Alumni Foundation Opportunity Grant program provides one-time seed money for projects that advance the university’s strategic plan and result in significant outcomes.

Opportunity Grants start at $100 with a maximum possible award of $5,000, awarded in the fiscal year (July 1 - June 30), and must fund expenses related to a specific project. Grant funds available vary by year but have ranged from $25,000 to $40,000 annually. Applicants are limited to one proposal per year. Opportunity Grants are made possible by donor contributions to the Central Annual Fund.
